NAMI WALKS Piedmont Tri-County Walk for 1 in 4

Was a huge success:

On October 19, 2019, our 6th Annual Walk for 1 in 4  began at 9 am expertly emceed by Patti Mercer and with words of encouragement and support from the Mayor of Rock Hill, Mayor John Gettys

It warmed our hearts to see over 250 people come out to enjoy the day, ready to walk and take a stand against stigma. As with every year, we can’t help but get excited about the unwavering support we receive from our community. Watching the lines of people laugh, walk, run, and even dance as they snake through Cherry Park is an amazing, heartwarming, sight indeed.

We always have so much fun reconnecting with our community and taking that stroll through Cherry Park in the beginnings of fall to celebrate the community we live in. It is a true joy to spend time with those who are committed to ending the silence surrounding mental illness.

We can’t wait to see what next year brings. A sincere and grateful thank you to all involved, to those who donated, and to those who willingly give up their time and volunteer. A grateful thanks to all those who walked and all who championed our cause. Every one of you is appreciated, we really couldn’t do what we do without you! You are all HEROES to us.

Donations are accepted year-round to support our programs, please go to www.namiwalks.org/piedmont and look for the “donate to this event” button, or mail to P.O. Box 3626, Rock Hill SC 29732
